As a basic and standard care provider, the hospital has 200 beds in the specialist departments of Intensive Care Medicine, Cardiology, Geriatrics, Gastroenterology, General and Visceral Surgery, Bariatric Surgery, Trauma Surgery and Orthopedics, as well as Gynecology and Obstetrics. In addition, the specialties of nephrology, urology, spinal surgery and radiology are covered by cooperative agreements. A total of around 8,000 inpatients and a further 19,000 outpatients are treated annually.
Since April 2020, the operating company Städt. Krankenhaus Maria-Hilf Brilon GmbH has been complemented by the subsidiary MVZ Am Schönschede GmbH, which comprises a surgical practice and a general practitioner’s practice.
The hospital is highly aware of their economic and ecological responsibility and see it as a decisive basis for ensuring the best possible health care in the region. They attach great importance to modernization and investment, so that not only the future of the hospital but also the future of the hospital’s employees is secured.
