The Evangelical Hospital in Mettmann has 16 specialized medical departments, ranging from general internal medicine to endocrinology, cardiology, vascular surgery, neurosurgery, and trauma surgery, as well as interdisciplinary intensive care medicine. At this teaching hospital, students have access to a broad spectrum of clinical disciplines in which they can gain practical experience. As a Protestant institution, patient-centered care and individualized treatment for each patient are central to the hospital’s mission. A highly qualified team of 60 physicians and over 400 nurses ensures that the approximately 26,000 inpatients and outpatients treated each year receive the best medical care according to the highest standards, using the latest technologies and treatment methods.
