The Sana Klinikum Hameln-Pyrmont is one of the largest acute care hospitals in Lower Saxony, with 402 inpatient beds. Each year, approximately 23,000 inpatients and 43,000 outpatients are treated across 13 specialized departments, making it a key healthcare provider in the region.

Equipped with advanced medical technology and staffed by highly qualified professionals, the hospital offers comprehensive care to the residents of the Hameln-Pyrmont district. Its clinics, institutes, and affiliated departments provide a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic services, with a strong emphasis on interdisciplinary collaboration. Founded in 1891, the hospital has a long tradition of medical care and has evolved into a modern healthcare facility. Today, it employs around 1,100 staff members.

As an Academic Teaching Hospital of Hannover Medical School (MHH) and a Teaching Hospital of UMFST-UMCH, the Sana Klinikum Hameln-Pyrmont plays an active role in the education of future physicians. It holds numerous accreditations for specialist medical training and is involved in clinical research and the development of innovative treatment methods.

The hospital also operates its own vocational nursing school, offering over 60 training positions for individuals seeking a solid and practical entry into the nursing profession.
