The hospital is an important healthcare provider in the Hameln-Pyrmont region. As a hospital for standard and advanced specialized care, it has 243 planned beds and over 600 employees.

The range of services includes the specialties of anesthesiology, intensive and emergency medicine, pain therapy, general, visceral, and endocrine surgery, vascular and endovascular surgery, internal medicine, cardiology and gastroenterology, neurosurgery and spinal surgery, neurology with a stroke unit, orthopedics, specialized orthopedic surgery and rheumatology with a certified endoprosthetics center, hand surgery, trauma surgery and sports traumatology with BG approval, certified as a regional trauma center and as a geriatric trauma center, as well as a urology department.

The Bathildis Hospital is celebrating its 125th anniversary this year. Since its ceremonial opening on August 21, 1899, the hospital has developed into an important institution in the region and is deeply rooted in the history and community of Bad Pyrmont.
